Happy New Year, Everyone!
Well the holiday season is just about to end and so we begin 2019. Funny thing: I started my so-called “art” career with a train drawing at the end of 2016 – I end 2018 with another train drawing. Hidden message? Not much to really write about but a few pictures are posted for your entertainment pleasure. Hope you like it. Continue reading “Aboard The 298 To Cunningham” – pure carbon train drawing
This is the last floral drawing in my series of monochromatic botanical drawings. I’ve made a little slide show at the bottom of this post, right beneath the last image of “The Carnation”. The slide show will present to you a series of six floral drawings that I have rendered. Hope you enjoy. Continue reading “The Carnation” – charcoal drawing
The fourth in a series of botanical drawings. I have ONE more to go. Can you guess what it will be? Well, until the next drawing, I hope you enjoy this little gem – “The White Shrub Rose”. Continue reading “The White Shrub Rose” – charcoal
Finished this piece earlier today. I know I mentioned once before (perhaps on facebook) that I wasn’t going to do any more floral drawings for the rest of the year. Well, due to some brainstorming and some feedback from a few places around the globe, I’ve decided to extend the floral drawings a bit, and so I present this little piece to you for viewing. Continue reading “The Lily” – charcoal drawing
Hope everyone has had a good weekend so far. Today’s drawing is the last in a series of floral drawings for this year. I hope you enjoy. Continue reading “The Honey Maker” – drawing
Well, I’m going to keep this one short and simply post the finished drawing and forego the ‘materials” and “techniques”. Just to avoid any future questions: No, I did not use friskett. There. Got that out of the way. Hope you enjoy! Continue reading “The Keeper And The Rose” – charcoal and carbon drawing
Evening everyone! I have some fantastic news! Continue reading SECOND PLACE WINNER in the R.O.A.R Juried Art Exhibit!
This coming Saturday and Sunday, (October 6th and 7th) I’ll be submitting several of my original drawings into the R.O.A.R – Russell’s Original Art Review. This is an event that has been going on for 50 years and draws quite a few artists from all across Kansas. I am hoping that my work will be accepted for jury. Results of jury will be announced the final day of the exhibit. The exhibit is open to the public from October 12th – 14th, ending at 4 p.m. in Russell, Kansas in the exhibition center located on the fair grounds northeast of town.
Hope to see some of you there!
