Awarded 2nd Place and Merit in Recent Juried Art Exhibit

Greetings everyone!

On Monday, April 8th, 2019, I submitted three drawings into the juried 45th Annual Prairie Art Exhibit, held inside the Studio 96 Gallery in Sterling, Kansas.  The juror was Jim Clements, whose oil paintings have been awarded both nationally and internationally, so I was very nervous, yet excited to see if my work would be acceptable to someone of his caliber.  Continue reading Awarded 2nd Place and Merit in Recent Juried Art Exhibit

“The Lily” – charcoal drawing

Finished this piece earlier today. I know I mentioned once before (perhaps on facebook) that I wasn’t going to do any more floral drawings for the rest of the year. Well, due to some brainstorming and some feedback from a few places around the globe, I’ve decided to extend the floral drawings a bit, and so I present this little piece to you for viewing. Continue reading “The Lily” – charcoal drawing

“The Keeper And The Rose” – charcoal and carbon drawing

Well, I’m going to keep this one short and simply post the finished drawing and forego the ‘materials” and “techniques”. Just to avoid any future questions: No, I did not use friskett. There. Got that out of the way. Hope you enjoy!  Continue reading “The Keeper And The Rose” – charcoal and carbon drawing
