Just finished this drawing last night. I rendered it as a personal tribute of sorts, for the Spanish Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. I substituted the original white horse for one of my favorite colored horses, which you’ll soon see. Drawn mostly using a 6B Wolffs carbon pencil with a little bit of Nitram HB charcoal for the softer areas. Hope you enjoy. I’ve provided some close ups of the drawing so that you can see the details. The juror was Jim Clements, whose oil paintings have been awarded both nationally and internationally, so I was very nervous, yet excited to see if my work would be acceptable to someone of his caliber.
