Hope to see some of you there!
Greetings! I have another solo art exhibit coming up October 26th, 2018 at “GALLERY ALLEY” located at 616 E. Douglas Ave, Wichita, Kansas. This will be a ONE DAY event and I will have mostly ALL ORIGINALS on display: horses, Hollywood character portraits, mastercopies of Frank Frezetta, Bougeureau, and my own works. It’s an outdoor venue, so this is going to depend upon the weather conditions that evening. Show will run from 6 – 9 p.m. if the weather proves cooperative. Live music will also be available and lots of places to eat will be very close, or right across the street! And don’t forget! I still have my “Essence of Charcoal” going on at “L’image” over at 615 West Douglas until October 12th.
Well, I finally finished my mastercopy of William Adolphe Bougeureau’s oil painting entitled “Two Sisters”. This post is going to be rather simple, as I’m just posting the final results with a close and a brief description of the materials used. This drawing is also available FOR SALE to any interested buyers. Hope you enjoy. Continue reading “Two Sisters” – mastercopy
Just wanted to share with my followers that I finished participation in the 56th Annual Hutchinson Art Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas, and I was given an Award of Excellence which included a $100.00 prize money. Thanks to all the followers who post encouragement throughout this last year!
I just completed this drawing of William Adolphe Bourguereau’s oil painting “The Younger Brother (two)”, rendered in charcoal and graphite on Stonehenge Aqua water-color paper. This piece was drawn in order to test the quality of this paper for drawing and I’ll be giving a review of that as well. Continue reading “The Younger Brother (Two)”
This is the last in a three-part series paying tribute to W. A. Bouguereau. The Young Shepherdess is my attempt at capturing Bouguereau’s realistic attributes that he so intimately places within each of his paintings, only I utilized charcoal and some carbon instead of oils. Continue reading THE YOUNG SHEPHERDESS – Part III
Here is the second drawing in a series of three, commemorating William Adolphe Bouguereau and his Shepherdess series. Today’s drawing is of his painting Pastourelle. I’ve done a write-up detailing the steps I used to draw this particular piece. If you simply want to look at the photographs, feel free to simply skip over the written material. Enjoy! Oh! And don’t forget to leave a comment or “like”
